Boat seized and four arrested for alleged drugs smuggling
More than 1,500 pounds of ganja was intercepted on board a boat that had illegally entered Cayman waters, the police said on Friday, 15 Aug.
Coast Guard and airborne police officers joined forces for an early-hours interception of the alleged drug-running boat around 2:40am on Thursday.
The Coast Guard spotted the suspect vessel while on a routine patrol and, with support from a police air operations unit helicopter, stopped and searched the boat, which had four people on board. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
