50 years ago: First metered taxis; Lions Club president attacked in Grenada
A page 1 photo in the 11 Sept. 1975 edition of The Caymanian Compass showed Charles Bothwell in the driver’s seat of his metered taxi, one of only two cars so equipped. Dickie Brown, the other driver who had installed a meter, was looking through the window of Bothwell’s car as he talked on his radio.
