US tourist dies in suspected drowning incident
Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old American tourist who was found submerged in the sea off North West Point Road, West Bay on 6 Dec.
Police said the man is believed to have been snorkelling, when he encountered difficulties and subsequently submerged beneath the surface.
A police spokesperson said a major rescue operation was mounted around 1:30pm. Coast Guard personnel, the fire service and police, including the Air Operations Unit, were deployed.
