West Bay man, 42, dies in water-related death near Barkers Key
Police confirmed on Thursday, 8 Jan. that a 42-year-old man from West Bay died after going into the sea on 3 Jan.
Police, who did not give the man’s name, said he had gone into the sea in West Bay near the ‘Big Channel’ area on Barkers Key in Barkers National Park, but failed to resurface.
A Cayman Islands Coast Guard patrol boat searched the area and recovered the man, who was taken to shore at Scotts Landing and rushed to the Anthony S. Eden Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
