Two appear in court for incidents where cyclists died
Two people have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and other offences in incidents in 2023 and 2024.
Katherine Lopez, 24, of West Bay faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, in the death of a cyclist.
It is alleged Lopez’s Honda HRV struck Tara Bahadur, who was 22, as he rode his bike on Esterley Tibbets Highway in the early hours of 7 Dec. 2024. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
