Striders out in force to support Cancer Society
More than 1,500 runners, joggers and walkers gathered by Public Beach in the pre-dawn darkness on Sunday, ready to take part in the annual Stride Against Cancer.
The event is one of the biggest fundraising walk/runs on island.
Clad in white T-shirts with the distinctive Stride logo across the front, participants had the option to take part in three different events – a half-marathon, which started at 5:30am, and a 10K and 5K, which began at 6am. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
