Lobster season closes
Cayman’s annual three-month lobster season has come to an end, with 28 Feb. being the last day of the year when people can catch lobsters.
Harvesting lobster is strictly prohibited in all Cayman waters from 1 March to 30 Nov. Anyone caught in possession of lobster during this time will be prosecuted, with penalties determined by the courts, the government has said in a statement.
