Cayman churches prepare for Holy Week

Churches across the Cayman Islands are preparing for their annual Easter services, a period that marks the end of Lent – 40 days of reflection and fasting – and the culmination of Holy Week, which includes Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

While many churches have steady weekly attendance, congregations typically grow significantly during Easter. Dave Jorge, worship pastor at First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman said, “More than 1,000 people come to our concerts on Friday and Sunday night. Easter Sunday morning is also one of our largest services of the year.
