Cayman Brac claims national champion title in STEM Racing National Finals
The first-ever STEM Racing Cayman Islands National Finals, held on 25 April at the John Gray Gymnasium, saw five local high schools compete for the national title.
Students designed, built, branded and raced miniature Formula 1 style cars on a 20-metre track, using industry-relevant tools such as CAD/CAM software, while developing critical life skills including communication, leadership and strategic thinking.
Teams were judged on engineering and design, enterprise and project management, branding and pit display, verbal presentations and on-track performance with the chance to earn up to 960 points. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
