Two-tier drivers’ licence fees spark concern over unintended consequences

Government is being urged to reconsider its new two-tier driving licence fee amid concerns that it will increase the cost-of-living and could be open to legal challenge.

Several business owners warned the change, which will mean an eight-fold increase in the cost of a driving licence for non-Caymanians, will add to the cost of doing business and push up prices for everyone.
