Jury in child murder trial makes site visit to Cayman Brac

A child murder trial moved from George Town to Cayman Brac on Wednesday for a site visit.

The jury, lawyers and Justice Emma Peters left the Grand Court in George Town to travel to the Brac as part of the trial of Devon Emmanuel Wright, who is accused of the abduction and murder of Alissady Powell, who was 2, on the Sister Island four years ago.

The prosecution, led by English barrister Jonas Hankin, KC, told the court that the motive for the alleged killing might never be established, but that there was no requirement to prove one. For a more complete summary of the story, please see the below link:
